As many people unfortunately know after a loved one passes life gets hard, as you are mourning  your loss and all your finances are piling up, past due . It is a struggle to get back on your feet, everyone needs a little help finding their way back on the path of life.

Joshua William Puff,

I don't know where to start, but man you sure were a special guy. You were not only a really good friend but also my brother. I'm so proud of you, because even when the odds were always stacked against you, you somehow overcame them, always because you were a true champion and never gave up.

I've known you since you were a young boy, I watched you grow into the amazing man you are.

Unlike so many people, you made something of yourself, you got yourself out of Stockton, you got out of the ghetto. You met and married your soul mate, made two beautiful children. You served your country, you fought in Iraq, and you did it again in Afghanistan.

I was so sad when you left for the army,we were really good friends and you were my fishing buddy. But I was also so proud of you because, that took major balls to leave everything behind and go start a new life.

I believe you were weeks away from going back to Afghanistan for your third tour and training hard when the GBM popped into your life. You were so upset, but not because you had GBM but that you wouldn't be going back to Afghanistan leading your army brothers, you felt like you were letting them down.

We had major plans for when you got back and out of the army, we were gonna be bounty hunters, I couldn't wait. We were gonna go fishing all the time, and then hunt down fugitives, man we were going to have the time of our lives.

I was there, when you passed. Your wife is incredibly strong, she held you in her arms and told you to be free, your sister Bethany was also extremely strong and was holding your hand the whole time, she told you when you saw the light to run to it. I felt so fucking weak, I didn't think I'd be able to watch you pass away but man, you passed away so fucking gracefully, you passed away like a champ.

Your eyes had been closed for the last three days, you weren't really responding anymore. The doctors said you probably wouldn't make it thru the night, you sure showed them what a fighter and champion you were, you fought for another five days. And everyday, they thought it would be the day.

11-19-14, 11:31 am the day you went home, it was a beautiful day. Your wife was whispering sweet everything's into your ear, telling you she and everyone loved you, how beautiful it was outside. The sun was shining brightly, on your face and the view was spectacular. Blue sky, warm sun beaming thru the glass with mountainsides out your window.

I couldn't believe it was time, but unfortunately we knew it was. When you took your last breath, in your wife's arms, with your sister Bethany holding your hand, our mother and I at your side, you opened your eyes for the last time looked into the blue sky's and the sun and went to the light. You went out like a champ, you made it seem so fuckin easy, you didn't seem scared and for some odd reason it was a beautiful death.

I was so glad to be there, at your last moment, I was so scared, but like I said, you went so peacefully as if you were saying don't fear death, see you again.

Beth had told you, if there was a way, let us know you were ok....give us a sign. Dude you blew my mind, as you were passing your spirt touched my son, four hundred miles away.

As you passed away, we got a call from our kids school, my son Mikey was crying at school, at the very same time you passed. When we got home that night after you passed, my son gave me the biggest heartfelt huge he has ever gave me, he grabbed me so tight and cried, we asked him what was wrong, he told us he had felt his uncle josh. I'm still mind blown, you gave us a sign. If that wasn't a sign, then I don't know what it was. I will miss you and love you, see you on the other side.

Your brother,

Mike
