Help Tom and Karen Park!
Tom and Karen live in Bella Vista, AR with their two children. Tom is retired from the Army after 22 years of service, and Karen is working as a CNA at an area hospital.
On December 1, while working on the roof of their home, Tom slipped and fell. Karen and the kids weren't home, and Tom lay on the ground for a while before a neighbor found him and called an ambulance.
Tom suffered a number of injuries, including four spinal fractures, crushing of his pelvis, wrist and chest injuries and more. He has been transfered to different hospitals twice before coming to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he has undergone two surgeries so far, with more, and lost of rehabilitation work on the horizon.
While Tom has Tri-Care insurance through his veteran status, he still has copays, deductibles, and catastrophic coverage caps to meet. Additionally, UAMS is 3 hours from home, and Karen doesn't get a lot of paid leave (she is new in her position). Their family, church family and friends from their hobbies are helping as we can, but there is a big need to meet.
Your support will help the family meet not only unpaid medical expenses, but also lost wages when Karen takes off work to go visit, travel expenses back and forth for her and the kids to see Tom when they can, and other costs as they arise.
