Help Rwandan Refugees

YOU did it! We met our first goal of $3,000!! Thank you one-hundred times over, friends! 

A couple of folks from our team went back to visit the refugees in Kageyo yesterday and told them they will be getting food very soon (translation--TODAY!!) They are eating today, guys. YOU did that.

We found out that they have only been eating boiled cabbage and carrots. They NEED rice, beans and Sosoma (like Cream of Wheat, but higher protein stuff) for nutriton AND will be there through March. Pastor Sam is bringing them food from the city today--because of you. Praise God! 

That said, K&N Management has agreed to match up to $5,000 now!! Please share to anyone you know that might want to help...OR to someone who can benefit from simply hearing the story. GO!

These are Rwandan refugees that were kicked out of Tanzania 3 days ago and left with nothing. Imagine 40 families, consisting of 5-7 per unit, living in one abandoned building the size of an elementary-school gymnasium. (No electricity. No running water.) That's roughly 250 people--more than half are very young children. That's what we witnessed yesterday in Kageyo--one of the poorest communities in the country of Rwanda.

Africa New Life Ministries, and the surrounding community in Kageyo, is doing what they can to help meet the very basic needs of these brothers and sisters.

We woke up this morning knowing that our task was incomplete. We asked the pastor, what do they NEED today? We want to help.

As they wait for the government to provide housing, they desperately need food and toilets. Our team of 5 is collecting what we have--we cannot meet the needs of all 250 people. BUT with your help, WE CAN!

There is not much time. From now until Thursday, 2/20/2014, K&N Management will match the first $3,000.
