<div>Two years ago, everything fell apart. I tore my meniscus clean off the bone at work and spent months fighting with workers’ comp just to get the first surgery. While I was recovering, I tore the other knee — which meant another surgery, more pain, and more time stuck in limbo.

<div>While all that was happening, my mental and physical health completely crashed. Between the chronic nerve pain, PTSD, potential autism-spectrum challenges (AuDHD), fibromyalgia, severe traveling arthritis, and sensory overload, my body has basically decided to mutiny. I’ve still got more surgeries ahead, and honestly, some days it feels like I’m drowning.

<div>I’ve survived a lot in my life — abuse, burns, and more nerve pain than I can explain — but these last two years broke me in ways I didn’t see coming. I’m doing everything I can to rebuild and heal, but right now I need help to keep going. It is so very hard for me to ask for help.

<div>I lost my medical insurance when I switched from short-term to long-term disability, and my income’s just barely over the Medicaid limit — which leaves me stuck in this awful gap where I can’t afford the care I need. I’ve applied for SSD, but that process can take up to two years. I need help now to stay above water
