Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters,
My dear friend and sister, Miracle Allums has been afforded the opportunity to participate in the VCU sponsored study abroad trip, "The Contemporary Social Challenges in Rural Communities" in South Africa. During this trip, students will have the life-changing opportunity to participate in an organized service activity by working in a project assisting Zulu school children, many of them orphaned by the AIDS pandemic.
As a passionate student leader at Virginia Commonwealth University and servant to the the Greater Richmond Community, Miracle has devoted her time to educating members of both communities about reducing HIV/AIDS and substance abuse. She has inspired others and empowered individuals to be change agents in the community while spreading the teachings of how to live a healthy and safe lifestyle.
Miracle is a phenomenal woman. She has touched my life and the lives of others with her warm personality, her selfless heart, and positive outlook on life. It is a beautiful journey watching her grow and change the world, one act of service at a time. She continuously gives every ounce of her being and passion in everything she does. Miracle has an inner and outer beauty that shines so bright and has been placed on this Earth to truly change the world. No one is more deserving of this trip than Miracle. If given the opportunity to travel South Africa, I know she will change the lives of these children and inspire them just as she has inspired me. Miracle has given so much to everyone and I hope you will be able to give something back to her in return. Please donate what you can so that she may be a Miracle someone else's life.
