Help Mike Hill Beat Cancer

Hello, I am Ellen Mills and I have set up this gofundme account for my nephew, Mike Hill, who is just starting a long battle to fight mouth, throat and neck cancer. Mike is the sort of guy that is always willing to help anyone that needs him. I know, he has rescued me few times! He is a loving husband, father, son, brother uncle grandfather,nephew and friend. He is a great guy with some bad luck going on right now .
Mike was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer that has been found in his neck, tonsils, soft palate and tongue. He is going to Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Ga for chemo and radiation treatments, a 120 mile round trip ,5 days a week for at least 7 weeks. Although he has been in pain with this cancer he has been told that the treatments will add some more unpleasant side effects as well. Swelling of throat, mouth sores that will prevent him from swallowing, nausea, extreme fatique and loss of appetite are just a few things that he will be facing in the coming weeks. He also needs protein supplements several times a day plus other medicines as well as the transportation costs to and from Atlanta. All of these things are costly but necessary.
So far he has had many doctor visits, scans, blood tests , a special radiation mask and radiation markers and surgery for a gastro tube, just to get him ready for the treatments. Last week he started the actual chemo and radiation . He was able to get some medical insurance after his diagnosis but the cost of this insurance is extremely expensive, the coverage isn't great and his co-pays and deductible amounts are growing. I can only imagine how overwhelmed he must be feeling with all of this. He has always been a hard worker but he now faces several weeks or months of not being able to work. The stress of this is not helping him to rest and let his body heal.
The world is a better place with Mike Hill in it. He needs all of his strength so he can focus on his battle. Let Mike know that he has a huge team behind him as he fights this cancer. It would be great if you would share his story with others and remember him and his family in your prayers.
