Help Marc beat Prostate Cancer

Marc and Shelley Griffin are an amazing couple and I had the priviledge of meeting them years ago while working at CBN. They are my mentors and like adoptive parents to me and many others they take under their wings. Marc is also a Sunday school Teacher at New Life Providence, they think he's an big ole teddy bear and has the funniest sense of humor in his quirky jokes. Shelley, his wife, is a business owner, but ensures she pours into the lives of other women through mentoring and life coaching. Their marriage is one of uniqueness and fun qualities that we've ever seen. Their Faith in Christ is their foundation in all they do while sharing their life and the gospel.
In June of 2017 our friend Marc received a diagnosis of Prostate Cancer that sent a shock to both of them as Shelley is a Thyroid Cancer survivor and she knows the hardship of what the next steps and years would mean for treatment for her husband.
After a 7 1/2 month battle with medical, Marc finally received approval to undergo the treatment from our local Hampton University Proton Therapy here in Va. This will be a 10 week process or so we thought, now we have received news that it has also spread into his Lymphatic system and he will be undergoing even more test and treatment in addition to the original Proton Therapy.
Due to this procedure and it's great technilogical advances, the payments and Daily treatments are not fully covered for this 20 year USN Retired Vet. He and his wife are self employed and are struggling to make ends meet to prepare for this process and the overwhelming financial strain as they even try to maintain paying the simplist of monthly bills, even including rent.
Never have I seen a time where they have turned someone away, they give everything of themselves, time, ministry, feeding others and even housing those in need when they are able.
Over the next 10-12 weeks, Marc will be unable to work as he does for his regular 12-16 hour days. They will have to drive daily nearly 45 mins to the treatment and 45 minutes back again cutting into both of their daily work routine. (If you know Hampton Roads, that's really about 90 minutes there through the tunnels and traffic! LOL) And Marc will also not have the energy to fully work as he does now during that time to help support their household.
Friends have gathered to not only Pray but to create this GoFundMe account to help them during this season. The Financial gifts that you give will go first and foremost help to pay the daily, weekly and monthly fees that their medical insurance doesn't cover, even now there is a delay with Marc getting even his Gel implant to start the process which is nearly $500 on top of copays and time recovering before the Proton Therapy starts.
Marc truly believes that there is a greater message in all of this and that he will be healed whether by a miracle from God or that the Lord will use modern medicine to bring about the healing, Luke was a doctor and the Lord used him.
Never does this couple ask for much, if ever. In fact they work harder and longer to ensure they do all they can before they even think to ask for help or assistance. But seeing the struggles first hand and being in their lives daily since this began We Want and Need Your help.
To see them daily and to interact with them you would never know they are going through such a burden and hardship or that Marc even has cancer, even though we know cancer doesn't have a face and doesn't discriminate.
This is at this juncture an Urgent need, starting here and now. Help us raise $10k for Marc and Shelley. This will be one of their biggest trials and struggles, but as a community we can be their biggest blessing outside of the Lord intervening. If you are unable to give a monetary donations we ask that you pray for Marcs Strength and healing, for Shelley to gain strength to take him back and forth, every day for 9 weeks or more and for a Financial blessing that will allow them to cover All Medical Cost, to keep their home and pay the bills and for Marc to be able to Rest when he needs to and not stress about their home life.
