Help Lorraine Fight Cancer!

On June 19th, 2014, my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. On July 14th she underwent a surgery to remove a portion of her colon that contained a large tumor, however shortly after this she was diagnosed with stage 3c colorectal cancer, meaning that the cancer has spread out from her colon and out into surrounding tissue and lymph nodes.

She has been living with abdominal pain for a year and a half, and this is only the beginning of an uphill battle to try to stop the spread of her cancer to other parts of her body.

She is in the process of applying for disability and found one time support with some organizations, but she is far from meeting her monthly expenses. She is physically unable to work since she is in need of a knee replacement and major reconstructive surgery on her foot; she may not be able to work again for a long time. Her chemotherapy began on August 19th and will continue for the next 6 months, so far it has been extremely rough on her body with lots of horrible side effects.

We need your help. Anything you donate will go towards helping her pay her rent and supply her with food & gas money each month.  She is in the process of trying to find a roommate to supplement her costs, however her landlord is making this step quite difficult and has mentioned wanting to evict her.  My hope is for rent and her basic living expenses will be the last thing for my mom to worry about so she can focus on her health and recovery.
