Help Larissa in Her Fight for Full Recovery

We started a gofundme for Larissa in 2017 when,  after months of debilitating and mysterious symptoms, she was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia (see story below).  Almost two years later, after months of hospitalizations, a successful stem cell transplant, and accumulating thousands of dollars of medical debt, Larissa is now cancer free, but still fighting for her life. She  has virus that can be fatal for immune compromised individuals like herself.  They have exhausted all the other treatment options, all off which have had horrible side effects, and she now needs a treatment called T Cell Therapy which is only available to her at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati.  She desperately needs help with the monthly transportation costs so that she can receive these life saving treatments.

The original story:
Larissa Strosnider is an incredible young wife and mother who has overcome many challenges in her life. She is a joy to all who have the pleasure and honor of knowing her, and she is everything to her three children. In her career, she started at an entry level position and worked her way up to a supervisory role, working long shifts, sometimes at night, and all the while being a present and loving caregiver at home.

Over the past few months Larissa has struggled with various seemingly unrelated illnesses and exhaustion. Despite this, she has continued to work and to be the joyful mother she has always been, attending her boys' school and sports events, cooking increadible meals, and doting upon her beloved little girl, just generally keeping stuff together. But finally she just felt so sick she had to go to the ER. She was diagnosed with Leukemia and has been immediately admitted for a blood transfusion and chemotherapy.

Her husband, Eddy, will now need to provide full-time care of their little girl while still working, as he will now be the sole source of income for the immediate future. Larissa and Eddy both work incredibly hard to make ends meet.  The loss of Larissa's income as well as her presence in the home is going to take a huge toll on the family. They will need every little bit of extra help they can get to get through this challenging time.

Larissa is being transferred to Charlottesville for more studies and to begin treatment. Their immediate needs are urgent and include travel expenses, money for groceries, to help pay monthly bills and rent, and then will eventually include medical expenses not covered by insurance. All money raised will go directly to Larissa.

Despite being frightened and obviously feeling very, very ill, Larissa's main concern is for her family. If we can start to bring in money immediately Larissa will hopefully be able to focus on beating this cancer, and we know she she will.

Please know that no amount is too small and that every little bit will help. In this time of love and giving, please find it in your heart to help our beautiful Larissa and her family.

Please check back often for updates on Larissa's progress and new reward levels/thank you gifts.
