Help Kevin Hoffman Walk Again!

Our father, Kevin Hoffman had an accident in 2014, leaving him paralyzed from the waist-down. He has recently found a cutting-edge therapy called Project Walk, with a location near Portsmouth, NH.  The therapy has had great success in giving paralyzed patients the ability to walk again. He has been able to participate in a couple of trial therapy sessions, and feels optimistic in the therapy's potential, even feeling some tingling in his legs!! Unfortunately, it's a private program that insurance will not cover at all. For the best and most hopeful results, the program recommends that patients schedule 2-hour appointments (minimum), and multiple appointments per week. The amount we are looking to raise would cover two 2-hour appointments per week for one year, plus travel to and from Portsmouth area, and supplemental equipment to assist with the therapy results as a starting point. It's unclear at this time if more frequent or lengthy sessions of therapy will be required.

Before his accident, our dad was an avid runner. He participated in a number of local races, including half marathons. Some of his favorite activities are hiking, camping, gardening, anything adventurous and outdoors. He has found an outlet in Maine Adaptive Sports, participating in hand cycling, skiing, and tennis.
