UPDATE: Amazing! In less than a day we raised the original goal and then some by an extra dollar! Now we are looking to help the other team members if necessary or to aid the mission itself! I'm truly humbled by this experience and feel so blessed beyond belief. Thank y'all so very much!
Friends and family, some of you may know that I work with Death Valley Magazine, and our D.A.R.T group has teamed up La Cima World Missions to send an aid mission to go help the refugees in Iraq. I've been designated as the Logistics Officer for this mission. Tons of people have helped and thus the mission has way more resources than we ever imagined it would. I was not originally suppose to go but because of this outpouring of support I'm needed there now more than ever. I am in need of assistance with travel funds to go on the mission.
The amount is relatively small $1600.00 but to me at this point before my wife and I's big move it is a considerable sum.
This mission is going to provide water, food, shelter, and medical aid to as many people as we possibly can.
The proceeds would go toward helping me pay my travel cost to go as all mission volunteers pay their own way.
These people are dying to put it bluntly they need help! Will you help me go help them?
