Help John Beat Cancer

Hi I'm John Schmidt and on March 25th, 2014 at 5:15 pm I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. At 9:45 pm I was in the operating room receiving emergency surgery to remove 14" of my large intestine. When I woke up I had an iliostony bag connect to right side of my stomach (simple English: they disconnected my pipes and I have to use a plastic bag to go number two). Cancer has been an eye-opener; it really makes you slow down and pay attention to the small things in life. Cancer helped me to re-establish a relationship with son, daughter and ex-wife (no real communication for almost 3 years). Cancer has brought many challenges, but it has brought on blessing and moved mountains that I thought could never be moved. Cancer has strengthened my faith in my heavenly Father and his amazing plan for me. I plan on beating this disease and I'm asking for your help. I went from being employed full time to disabled within 6 hours. I have tightened me belt and reduced my living expenses and appreciate all the help that my Family and the Church have provided. To God and Family I thank you. Some of the treatment options are not covered by medical insurance.
