Help Troy with his Chronic Lyme

Donation protected
Troy E Cochran is the love of my life. We have been married 1 year and 3 months. Theyve been the best and yet most difficult 15 months of my life. This is because my husband has Chronic Lyme Disease and many coinfections.

***Recent update: On top of everything he goes thru with this disease,  we now have to move again due to mold. We recently found out our rental is infested and have to move asap. This has greatly affected Troys health and is sending him on another downward spiral. ****
When I met Troy, he had a light in his eyes, he was motivated, and he loved life. He couldn't wait to go back to school and be a police officer. He know he couldn't change the world but he at least wanted to change his community. All Troy dreamed off was being a cop, marrying his ms.right, and have a few kids of his own.

This all changed one day in February of 2013. Troy woke up and felt like hed been hit by a train. He had no appetite, felt disoriented, and knew something just wasnt right. It all went downhill from there. He began developing several new symptoms every day. It started with severe physical pain, pain so extreme that it knocked down a man who once dropped a 200lb steel trailer hitch on his toe and continued to work.

He became a shadow of his former self. No longer did my amazing boyfriend (at the time) have that sparkle in eyes. He wasnt the energetic, full of life, hardworker that I knew. We had no idea what was wrong and getting a doctor to diagnose was like pulling teeth. As all those with chronic lyme disease can tell you, this isnt uncommon. Diagnosis for this unimaginably painful and life-altering disease is nearly impossible to recieve from a regular doctor. My husband endured ridicule from his family doctor for even bringing up lyme. He was called a hypochondriac, told he was just depressed, and tested for all kinds of stds and drugs. He was humiliated!

We thought the physical part of the disease was bad. We were wrong. Troy slowly began to develop neurological symptoms. He developed a stutter, started to have memory loss, and a complete personality change. No longer did I even recognize the man I had married. Having a conversation was nearly impossible. He couldnt remember words or form a full sentence at times. Something was slowly killing my husband and noone would even bother to help.

By the time he was finally diagnosed by a lyme literate doctor, he was already at the chronic stage of this uncurable disease. The treatment and lifestyle needed to help this disease go into remission are ridiculous, and thats putting it lightly. We are quickly running out of money and hope. Our baby girl, a rescue puppy, is the only thing that makes him smile anymore.

I just want to have my husband back. Im not ready to lose him. We need your help. As we stand, we cant afford treatment past this month. Without it, he'll be bed bound 24/7 in no time. My income just isnt enough to afford everything he needs. We get no help from the government whatsoever. He keeps getting denied for disability and we dont get food stamps so we're really running on empty here. My husband cant work and has even begun to sell the few possessions he has. Please help save my husband and keep a roof over his head. Please please help. Even $1 makes a huge difference. The money is going to go towards medical bills and treatment and keeping our home. Thank you. If you can't donate please share with your friends. All I want is the spark in his eye and the love of my life back.
