Help Kat Get Her Life Back!!!

My best friend, Kat - the most caring, generous, and positive person I will ever know - was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis (IC) in 2011 at the age of 27.  IC is a chronic inflammatory condition of the sub-mucosal and muscular layers of the bladder, which effects her entire body due to pain. The cause of this disease is unknown and is compared to that of someone with chronic cancer pain or a patient on kidney dialysis. 

 At this time, there is no cure.

Due to the daily pain, Kat had to leave both of her jobs, which have been replaced with doctor visits and treatments. While these visits help, they are debilitating; therefore, a family member needs to attend the appointments with her. However, you will always get the most wonderful compliments as a result! ;)

 Luckily, Kat has had the opportunity to have a trial implant, called a neurostimulator, placed in her spine that reduces the pain and would allow Kat to have some of her life back! With the successful trial implant, she and her loving husband now face an overwhleming medical bill (potentially up to $75,000) for the cost of the permanent implant that would change her life in a way that we cannot imagine.

For those of us who are lucky enough to have Kat in our lives, there is undoubtedly no one who deserves this more than her. Please help in any way you can!
