Thank You for your interest in Creating Happy with my children's book- The Blanket, A Story of Healing!
I wrote and illustrated this story to give children hope in knowing they can make a positive difference. My name is Debi Hammond and Creating Happy is my lifestyle and the name of my business. I have been drawing, painting and writing since I was a young girl growing up in California.
I have created this campaign (my very first attempt at crowd-funding!) to ask if you will help pay back the cost of publishing and to pay for promoting The Blanket, A Story of Healing.
The Blanket is my first published book!
This story filled with wonder and positivity has 33 pages of positive messages, guided imagery that is written for young children, with beautiful illustrations throughout to spark a childs imagination. The angelic messengers who deliver The Blanket to different children in their dreams will be revealed as the story unfolds!
Every child who hears this story will be able to make the world a more loving place, simply by using their imagination.
I have paid for a self-publishing package through Balboa Press. I began the process with them in August and I received my author copy on October 30th. The Blanket is now available online at Balboa Press, Amazon and Barnes & Noble!! (Woo-Hoo!)
It is my hope to eventually have this printed in as many languages as I can until its message has created a blanket of love that hugs and loves on our planet!
As things around the world and close to home can seem to be unraveling, I feel that the timing of The Blanket is just right.
It is my hope that this story will give children hope and strength in knowing that they can help create good.

We currently live in Northern California and will be moving across the country at the end of November. I was hoping to launch The Blanket in Cali, but the busyness of moving and other challenges that have arisen have made that too ambitious even for me! I will plan an awesome Book Launch in January of 2018 in Northern Texas, where we are moving!
I am doing my best to keep things Happy, as Creating Happy is not just for me, its for anyone looking for ways to Create their own Happy. I have always been very independent and I help wherever I can. And now I can really use your Help!!!
