Help Children from freezing in Peru

Donation protected
In Peru, pneumonia causes the death of approximately 400 children under the age of 5 every year (more than one child per day).

During the winter season, the Southern Andes of Peru (highlands) will be struck with temperatures below freezing levels (-20°C / -4°F).

The low temperatures registered in the southern Andes added to the lack of proper housing and infrastructure (no running water, sewage systems, electricity, accessible hospitals and roads), poor nutrition (causing anemia) and limited access to vaccines enhance the occurrence of pneumonia, affecting mostly children under age 8.

For the third year in a row we are launching our campaign to donate weatherproof jackets for these children suffering from freezing temperatures in the mountains in Peru.

In 2016, a group of high school friends, spread around the world, got together to try to alleviate this situation. After watching the generosity of our friends  and their friends, we are sure to count with your support and surpass the amount donated last year. We hope to bring warmth to 3,500 children this year.
