Help Cass Stay On Track

Dear friends, family, and visitors,

thank you so much for taking the time to visit this donation page.

Asking for help has always been a difficult thing for me, especially when it involves money.

This morning I returned home to find that my bedroom had been broken into, from the fire escape window-  my MacBook Pro and a couple hundred dollars cash, stolen. For me this was the tipping point, where I needed to acknowledge that I might need some additional help. 

Currently, I am in the middle of working to pay for my upcoming lease downpayment. Additionally, the cash I had set aside in my bedroom was going towards a plane ticket to attend my auntie’s funeral in Shanghai. All of which is under a strict crunch time to complete within this month. 

For those of you who know me, I am a hard-worker, and an optimist, and so bounce back quickly. While I would like to replace my computer as soon as possible, as I need it for work purposes, my focus right now is to recover the time and money lost in today’s theft. 

Family is important to me and so I need to stay on track financially with this flight for the memorial service,  while working to save enough money for this lease so I’m not homeless in NYC.

I have always felt weird about asking for money when I felt like I had nothing to offer in return. But currently, I acknowledge that I could use some outside help. Anything you can offer, whether it’s a dollar or two, I will be forever grateful for your kind gesture.
