HELP BRYON WRESTLE CANCER!

My brother, Bryon found out that he had Lung Cancer on May 23,2012 - his 30th Birthday.

He has never smoked a cigarette in his life.

When this non-smoking, strong, perfectly healthy, 29 year-old athlete went to the doctor for a consistent cough & trouble breathing, it was misdiagnosed as Asthma.  For obvious reasons, Cancer was the last thing on the doctor's mind.  Months went by and the medication was not working; his coughing got worse and soon he was coughing up blood.

They found a Carcinoid tumor in his left bronchial tube, blocking 80% of air to the lung.
Chemotherapy will not work with this tumor. 
The doctors in Portland told him he needs to have his entire lung removed before he gets an illness like pneumonia which, in his state, would be life-threatening.
One doctor at the University of Washington thinks he might be able to reconstruct his Bronchial tube, saving part or most of his lung.  We are praying that this is possible.

His surgery is set for July 19. He will be in the hospital approx. 5 days.  Then the real recovery begins - he will be out of work for 3-4 months.

I started this site because I really want to help raise money to cover medical costs, recovery, trips from his home in Oregon to his doctor in Seattle, bills, and unexpected costs, since his job does not offer short or long term disability pay.

*******Fun Facts about Bryon Bromley********

Grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington

Went to Artondale Elementary, Voyager Challenge program, Kopachuck Middle school, Gig Harbor High School, and then to Southern Oregon University studying Film.

Bryon walks annually for Huntington's Disease, which afflicts his father-in-law.  He is always up for helping others

Wrestling was Bryon's main sport all through school and now he is studying Martial Arts, recently attaining his blue belt in Jiu Jitsu.

He started playing guitar at age 6, and has been writing his own music and playing in bands ever since.

A child actor in theater, Bryon played many lead roles PAtCh, Paradise Theatre, & WWCA and at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church.  He also led the praise band at Chapel Hill and was very involved in their youth group.

He married his college sweetheart, Candice on 08/08/08

They have MANY pets including a pug named DaisyBoo, a turtle, fish, guinea pigs, and chinchillas. 

He loves his mud puppy, a lime green pickup truck that he and Dad reconstructed for his Senior project.
