Help Brian BE the 1%

Donation protected
My younger brother, Brian, is fighting through a traumatic brain injury as a result of suffering a gunshot to the head.  Based on the degree of travel the bullet made within his brain, the mortality rate of such gunshots is 99%. Most victims of such gunshots don't make it the ER, and most of those who do, don't make it to the operating table. Brian has already beat those odds, and is continuing to fight everyday. I'm convinced that of all the people I've ever met, if anyone can come through this, it's Brian; but we need as much help as we can get to help him remain the 1%.  As most of you know, our mother passed away of a sudden and unexpected brain annurism 12 days after I graduated high school in 2005. Pairing that with the fact that Brian never met his father, I am tasked with somehow making these haunting and insanely stressful decisions about his future. I am struggling to answer questions that I never thought I'd have to answer and make arrangement's that I never thought I'd have to make.  We have to think about making sure Brian will have adequate living conditions when he's done recovering. At this stage, we don't know how much of the Brian we know and love will come out of this, and we have to be prepared for that and keep in mind how Brian would want to live his life if God wants him to continue doing so. I'm absolutely amazed by the number of people who have reached out to me to express condolences and/or offer support. Brian has clearly made a positive impact on the lives of so many, and I know our mother would be just as proud of the man he has become as I am. From the moment he came into this world, I've had someone to call my best friend. It's a bond like no other, and my heart is breaking watching him go through this. For those who know him, you know that he was the light in a world of darkness, and he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. As one of many who love him and having nothing but his best in mind, I will be solely handling this fund and ensuring that the money is put to good use. For the foreseeable future, the money will go toward supplementing medical bills along with his insurance (which will only last for about 3 months) and all of the legal fees associated with gaining access to take care of his belongings and property.  The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, and I don't have many of the details. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and thanks in advance for anything provided. Every little bit helps! We know that God will continue showing up and guiding Brian in his path.
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." -Romans 8:28
