"Help Bravo stay in business"

Donation protected

We are the O’Neill family, who have lived in North Kingstown for more than 20 years and our children attend town schools.  We started Bravo Wood Fired Pizza in 2009 with a mobile wood fired oven, selling artisanal Neapolitan wood fired pizza at local farmers markets.  The mobile pizza business is seasonal due to  weather constraints.  Our goal was always to open a  restaurant allowing us to sell our pizza year round. We wanted to be located in our town with many of our loyal customers living in North Kingstown and East Greenwich.  A family place from a local family.

We looked at available spaces for about a year and then chose our current location on Post Road, not far from East Greenwich and very close to the Quonset business park. We opened in November 2014, confident that our style and quality of pizza would become popular and that our other menu items, made from the same fresh and locally sourced ingredients, would be well received.   We also have a lot of customers who require gluten free dining and they have come to appreciate the gluten free pizza dough we developed as part of our gluten free menu.

We have been getting excellent reviews and feedback from customers who continually tell us they hope we survive in the very competitive pizza market in town. In the two years the restaurant has been open, we have never taken a paycheck for ourselves.

Last winter we endured numerous snow days, higher than expected plowing bills and other unexpected expenses that took the rest of our working capital. We have struggled to stay open and market our concept despite our lack of capital and the inability to properly advertise to build our customer base. We know we are offering exceptionally fresh and delicious food and great service, as we are constantly being told this by customers both new and old.  We have been trying every free or low cost method of promoting our business, but in today's world of constant advertising bombardment, it's hasn’t been enough to compete for the attention of prospective and established customers.

We are now at a point that we cannot continue without some additional capital to catch up on bills and launch a real advertising campaign that will put us on a solid footing to become a fixture in the town.  We need this capital as soon as possible to begin our new push to build Bravo a strong future with many more happy customers.

We honestly were hesitant to ask the public for help. It is hard to have to admit how difficult things have become. If not for the urging of numerous customers and friends, and the many customers who tell us they really want us to survive because they love our restaurant, we might not have taken this step.  We created Bravo rewards for your donations so that you will be able to benefit and recoup your generosity through savings at Bravo.

We want to sincerely thank our loyal supporters, customers, family, and friends. If you want to be able to dine at Bravo for years to come, please help us through this difficult time with a donation.  Thank you in advance for your help & generosity.
