In late 2013 Brandon fell ill, by February of 2014 he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma with B complications. He was immediately put through a very serious ABVD chemo regiment & recovered. Or so we thought, his next scan revealed that the cancer was there though less widespread than at his original diagnosis. He received more treatment thanks to a study at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD. But the cancer persisted. In the autumn of 2017 while receiving “salvage chemo” (a protocol referred to as ICE), Brandon suffered a bad reaction that landed him in the ICU for a little over a week, causing a delay & change in treatment. He has spent all of 2018 trying to resolve the cancer enough to allow for a bone marrow transplant. There is no alternative. The end of October he was still in chemo to keep the cancer at bay until transplant could occur. They have him scheduled for transplant in early December. From the end of November until early February 2019 we will need stay within a strict radius of Johns Hopkins Hospital & maintain a 24 hour caregiver 100% of the time. We are tired. We are broke. And our housing recently fell through leaving us to spend the week scrambling to replace it by next week when we need to be in Baltimore full time. If you can, please help.
