<div>The Bodhi Tree Educational Foundation in Bodhgaya, India is a school with 700 children, including 200 boys and girls that are mentally and physically disabled. Many of these children were left on the streets and abandoned by their own parents.

<div>Dhirendra Sharma, the director of the school, is the one of the most inspiring people we’ve ever encountered in our entire lifetime. His selfless mission and purpose is to take these children from one of the most impoverished regions in northern rural India, and provide them with the basic tools for a normal childhood; formal education, food, medicine, clothing and school supplies.

<div>Having both visited the school personally, we found the children and our time there inspiring to say the least. Despite living amongst the toughest conditions, they always have the biggest smile on their faces. The love felt by these children is almost indescribable and Dhirendra's selfless compassion and drive to be of service to humanity had a tremendous impact on both of us.

<div>Since its inception, the school has relied on charitable contributions from visitors and volunteer programs. The pandemic forced the school to close and during this time, Dhirendra continued to support his students and their families in the town by distributing medication, masks, and food from the school's garden. Money was raised to help the school to reopen, however, meeting the basic, monthly financial commitments to remain open is a continual struggle leaving the school in a constant state of emergency.

<div>The schools requirements total $3000 US per month. Our intention is to raise at least one years worth of funding to meet the following basic needs:

<li><strong>Books and stationaries</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Hygiene items</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Uniforms</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Staff wages</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Medical assistance</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Appliance maintenance</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>School Bus maintenance and transport for special children that don’t have access</strong>
