<div>‏aza, Palestine, and we endured six months of the ongoing war in Gaza. We fled to Egypt, fearing for our children's safety. Kareem is in the first grade but has missed an entire school year due to the conflict. In Egypt, we do not have residency permits and cannot enroll him in any school.

<div>‏We wish to relocate to Canada and are currently waiting for our visas. We have no source of income, and life in Egypt requires a significant amount of money for rent, food, and medical care. Additionally, the journey to Canada requires substantial funds for plane tickets and initial living expenses until my wife and I can secure jobs there.

<div>Hello. I am Bessan, a Gazan Palestinian Canadian who lives in Ontario, Canada. I am organizing this fundraiser to help my brother Basim and his family cover life expenses in Egypt, as Basim lost his only source of income. Also, they need funds to help them in resettlement in Canada soon.

The process of obtaining their visas has started since January 2024. The waiting process is long and complicated, but they know it is the only way to ensure a better future for their children. As time passed and they approached getting visas to Canada, they began to feel that the new life they dreamed of was within reach.
