If you're here, then you know... I am raising funds to go back to England, pursue a BA in Theology, serve the church, and continue with God's calling in my life to share the Gospel and be a light in the world! :D I want to become a scholar and join the conversation of academia that shapes how people look at and understand religion, specifically Christianity. There is so much misinformation out there in the world about the Christian faith. I want to use my voice and the skills God has given me to shine the light in one of the key fields which directs the worldview of Christianity. To do this I must prepare.
I have applied to the London School of Theology (I am so excited about this school and it's program! If you want to check it out for yourself go to lst.ac.uk). Two weeks ago I had my interview and received my letter of conditional acceptance into the school!!! What is the condition? That my student visa be granted. This is where all of you come in. How can you help? Through your prayers and donations!
In order to be granted a student visa the government has some financial requirements that I MUST meet.... Ready?

Visa application Cost £348
Health care cost £525
[The Health Care service in the UK is socialized, which means "free" health care service for the nationals- that is really covered through their taxes ;) ... but for foreigners like me, who don't pay taxes to the English government they charge an up front fee to cover for my medical expenses, should I need any for the duration of my stay]
The rest of the amount for the first year of tuition £3,834
(Praise the Lord, He already provided the £5,000 deposit to secure my place at the school already, so the amount above is what is left of my first year balance to the school)
Living expenses for the first nine months £11,385
(This amount is imposed by the government to be on my bank account for 28 days before I submit my visa application, in order to be considered self-sufficient. They come up with the sum according to where the school is and some formulas they have. I have no say in the matter)
In summary, I need £16,092 by July....
Why July?
So I can apply for the visa by August (remember, funds must be in the account for 28 consecutive days before I can apply). After I apply it takes three weeks to process the paperwork and get a response. That would put me at the beginning of September, which would allow me just enough time to buy my plane ticket (I'll need money for that as well) and present myself for the first day of class on Oct. 1, 2018.
Once I’m in England I’ll be able to work part-time during the semester and full time during the summers to cover my living expenses for the 4 years I’ll be abroad.
This is possibly the greatest, craziest step of faith I've taken in my whole life... and you know me, I've seen God move in miraculous ways before. What feels so crazy about this? The amount vs. the time frame vs. what I'll be doing in the next few weeks. As you know, I am the missions director at my church and from June 19-July 12 I will be leading two different teams: one to the Dominican Republic, and one to Cambodia. Did you noticed the date of when I get back to the country? In my mind and circumstances, this is an impossibility, that's what makes it so exciting!! God is the only One that can make this happen! And it will be the greatest display of His glory and power. I have made this campaign as a giving myself over to God, for Him to do as He pleases. I am as the widow from Elisha's time in 2 Kings 4.... here is my jar, may God fill it! :D
God is sooooo GOOD! I am excited to see what He does.
