Help 4 Chad : Surviving Huricane Irma

Imagine.

No power. No water. No car. No timetable for those things to return. Your entire community upended. All food in the grocery stores is rotting all the water is gone... that which wasn't cleared off the shelves before the storm hit is only accessible with cash.. if the store is open... if you have cash.. No atms. You could fix your car, but the mechainic is in the same boat as you.. preoccupied clearing debris, helping elderly neighbors, trying to feed and protect his family. At least you can pull yourself up by the bootstraps... wait.. your jobs were destroyed when one of the largest hurricanes to ever make landfall in the US made a direct hit on the beaches where your jobs are. No Bootstraps.

Imagine that.
I can't. Really. I mean yeah.. I can fantasize about what it woul be like... but I know that I honestly can't. I can't feel that 100 degree heat with no AC, I cant hear the buzz of thousands of mosquitos...

What I can do is swiftly surmise that anyone in that sort of situation is sure to be needing help. Help rebuilding, help getting nutrition, help helping others.

It has become very clear that when disasters like this strike you don't send stuff. Stuff doesn't fit or doesn't work, stuff is the wrong size or type or flavor or whatever.. stuff is not the way to help.

You know what is?
Money!
Cash is best... but who sends cash anymore?

Why would you, when you have services like this!

My brother Chad's jobs, community, roommates, friends, livelihood and life were directly in the path of Hurricane Irma. He did his best to prepare for the conditions he knew he would face in the aftermath of such a terrible storm. But really... how much can you prepare when you are faced with a recovery process that will likely take weeks. And months.

There is no way to help yourself prepare for that.

He has been stretching himself thin helping who he can where he can.. putting others before himself. There are still a lot of unknowns: when this will return or if that will arrive; how this will happen or if that will take place; who will or who won't make it. But one thing is sure, surviving is one thing that Chad is very good at...

Lets help him do that!

Please.

Bills have to get paid, cars need to get fixed, life doesn't stop just because everything gets destroyed... you have to pick up the pieces and make your life whole agian.

Lets help him do that.
