This donation page is for Arnel Palaganas. He is a 36 year old loving and hard-working father of 2. He is loved and cherished by many friends and family. He loves the Lord and is an active member in his church. He's a person that will go out of his way to make someone smile and brighten their day. Arnel was a seemingly healthy individual. He went to the doctor for a cough and they found he had an irregular heartbeat. From there he was admitted into the hospital. After some tests and procedures, he was then told that he needed open heart surgery. He had recently started a new job and hadn't been there long enough to be covered with medical insurance. The open heart surgery alone averages around $100,000. This is not counting hospital stays and recovery expenses. Arnel is the first person to give a helping hand to those in need. Arnel's first procedure a couple days ago, he suffered complications. He had a heart spasm and fluid in his lungs. He recovered slightly from that and was in stable condition. Our family had to wait to see him because too much emotions could of effected his heart. He finally got to see everyone before his next procedure. This one went well. No complications but he was extremely weak. His heart was pumping so hard just laying there as if he were running a marathon. We were worried about the open heart surgery because he was so weak. The doctors first said that Arnel would need two valves replaced in his heart and possibly would have to put a pacemaker in. Well, they ended up only having to repair the damaged valves! That was the best case scenario. No complications!! As of about 5 pm today, he's out of surgery and doing well! Praise our Lord Jesus for his healing touch. Never underestimate the power of prayer. God's peace is real and has been with all of us.
