High Desert Dog Sports was founded in 2018 as a place for all dogs and their owners to come and learn new sports, increase their bond and decrease the chance of escaping yards, roaming and being turned into a shelter. In the last year we have enjoyed tremendous growth! We currently offer classes and trials in Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, Trailing and Locating, Shed Dog, and Urban Locating. We also offer classes in Scentwork, Agility and Confidence building. Our goal is to provide a "back yard" atmosphere where we can all get together and enjoy our dogs without all the pressure and drama that are sometimes found at other venues. We are all about the dogs! Purebred, Mixed breed, young and crazy or old and lazy, we welcome them all and have an activity for everyone!
Every donation of $50 will receive a High Desert Dog Sports decal! $100 donations will receive a free T-shirt!!!
We have the opportunity to obtain a 20 acre parcel of land only a mile from our current location!!! This would enable us to continue what we are doing while adding more space for our increased parking needs. It would also enable us to add amazing new activities for all dogs and their owners!! Our plans include a graded 3-5 acre field that would serve as a combination field for Lure Coursing, All Breed Coursing, FAST CAT trials and fun runs, a disc field, and tracking training! We will also be able to hold NASDA trials, Scentwork trials and our annual Ruff Run- our obstacle course for humans AND their pups on our own property, as well as being able to allow camping and RV parking for those that travel long distance to come to our events.
We would also be able to host other events on the property as well providing a reasonable alternative to other dog clubs as well, along with being able to add numerous special events!
We are a proud supporter of our community and are happy to provide this amazing opportunity for our local residents as well as our out of town guests. All money donated will be used for the down payment for the property- $20k, as well as fencing and tractor grading to make it perfect for all of our pups to play with! We have until close of escrow on Aug 21, 2019 to raise the down payment and make this dream a reality!!
