12/14/2013: update: As I sit here watching reruns of the Brady bunch and trying to recover from the surgery i had on my nose yesterday, I am in awe of how God has been placing people in my path that have helped us and supported us thru this whole ordeal. #1 the cancer was more extensive than they thought but thank God they got it all! I'm praying for a quick recovery!
#2: my husband was approved for social security disability on the first try/application! That is definitely a testimony to the goodness of The Lord. I've been told noone is approved the first time. God is so amazing!
#3: the mortgage company cancelled the foreclosure so we can apply for a modification! They've set a new foreclosure date for January 20, 2014! My husbands birthday. But, they said as long as we are in a review or an appeal, they can't foreclose!
#4: we are still in need of about $7,000 to get caught up on the main loan! We are praying and trusting that The Lord will provide!
We most likely won't have enough for the home equity loan but that's ok! We will deal with that one somehow. God will make a way.
Finally, a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DONATED TO US!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW THANKFUL AND HUMBLED WE ARE!!!! I HOPE I CAN SEND A PERSONAL THANK YOU TO EACH OF YOU! RIGHT NOW, I need to sleep! God bless you all!!!
Update: 11/13/13: I am totally humbled and grateful for all the donations, prayers, and words of encouragement. You all have blessed me beyond words! But, we have only 26 days before December 9. If you haven't donated yet, please please pray about donating even $1.00! I know God has a plan. If we don't reach our goal, they will foreclose! I have to admit I'm scared. I know we have almost 1/2 of what our goal is but we are running out of time! Thank you so much for helping our family !
Update: 11/8:13. a december 9 foreclosure date has been set on our home!! needless to say your prayers are most important! Also I was diagnosed with basal cell cancer on my nose and am scheduled for surgery December 13! Due to the stress of all this, I was in the er with seemingly the flu but they said it was a virus, anxiety and extreme exhaustion and told me I have to get some rest. This is impossible for me as I am caring for everyone and everything. I'm praying that The Lord will continue to give me the grace, the strength and the wisdom to continue on this journey without giving up.
Hi everyone! This is an update as of 10/10/13: Gary was just diagnosed with early onset dementia! Now, its going to be very difficult for him to find a job he can do! Our home is still in foreclosure and now, we need to get this mortgage up to date even more!!!!! And if all that is not bad enough, our dishwasher and washer is "acting up"! Oh, and our autistic son is really out of control due to the stress and is getting ready to go to a treatment facility for about a month! Please help us!
We are in active forclosure right now due to my husbands job loss last november 2012! We need 20000.00 to get our house current so we can modify our loan. We are a family of 5 and my 19 year old is autistic. He will go into a complete regression if he loses his home. My husband is showing early signs of alzheimer's. I have been a stay at home mom for 24 years and I homeschool 2 of my boys. We are both christian parents and we are trying to find jobs. My husband got 2 jobs. one at mcdonald's and one burger king. They don't pay much and after working for govt contractors for over 30 years, we never expected this to happen! We don't smoke, drink or do drugs, or go on vacations! I've reduced our spending as much as possible! I even cancelled my cell phone service even though I need one to stay in touch with my family while I'm out or at work! (I got a pt job 2 days a week). We have never been behind on any of our payments! please help prevent us from being homeless! GOD BLESS!!!!
