Preparing for the Future, Today!
Hi and welcome to the Arizona Hammers-00G Rivera fundraising site! The team consists of girls between the ages of 12 and 14 who have a heart and talent for soccer.
This past year the girls entered the Arizona Chipotle State League based on their outstanding record and were able to improve their ranking in both the fall and spring seasons. They ended their regular season play as a finalist in the Sports Authority Presidents Cup.
After much hard work and fundraising the team was able to travel to Michigan and Indiana this past summer for a 10 day goodwill trip. This was the first time many of them had been out of the Southwest and the trip was an amazing success. The highlight was when the girls became champions of the Jr. Irish Soccer Tournament while playing up an age group! They also received training with a local Div. I college and participated in some friendlies with local teams. In addition, the team were privileged to tour the University of Notre Dame and to visit Lake Michigan.
We would definitely like to keep the momentum going and keep these girls playing at the highest level possible, which, of course, requires money. That is where you come in! Every donation, big or small, goes straight to Help the Hammers with equipment, training, and travel costs.
Our long-term objective is to prepare these girls for high school and college. Whether or not the girls intend to play soccer in college, we believe that the discipline, commitment, and teamwork learned from playing for an elite team will provide a solid foundation for them to enter the world.
