<div>Hello, I'm Manu and I live in Heidelberg, Germany, with my husband, Basel, who is originally from Gaza, and two daughters, aged 6 and 3. We are pleased that one of my husband’s sisters, Marwa, has also been living here in Heidelberg for seven years. <strong style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;">We are now asking for your support so that my parents-in-law, sisters-in-law, their husbands, my nephews and nieces in Gaza - three families, 13 people - can escape the nightmare of the war in Gaza and also live in peace. </strong>

<div>„Hello. My name is Taghreed. It's both a bittersweet honor and heartache to open up and share with you the journey that has brought my family to its knees, a journey marked by pain and resilience, hope and despair.

<div>The nightmare of October 7th shattered the tranquil existence we once knew. In our cozy home, filled with love and laughter, my husband, children, and grandchildren reveled in the simple joys of life.

<div>But that fateful day robbed us of our peace, replacing it with fear, destruction, and the haunting echoes of relentless bombings that ravaged our city.

<div>With hearts heavy with dread, we made the agonizing decision to flee our beloved home in Gaza City, seeking refuge in the south of the Gaza Strip. We are three families, a total of 13 individuals, living together in a cramped apartment in the Middle of the Gaza Strip. Among us are Yasmeen, her husband, and their three children aged 19, 17, 11;

<div><strong>Each member of our family possesses unique dreams and talents, deserving of a brighter future. </strong>
</div>

<div>Unfortunately, our current reality is dire. We face health challenges due to contaminated water and nutrient deficiencies, compounded by severe shortages of food, medicine, clean water, and fuel. The constant fear of airstrikes adds to our distress as we witness the loss of lives in our neighborhood, fearing our turn may come at any moment.
</div>
<div><strong>Time is running out for us. With an imminent military operation in Rafah, our chance of survival diminishes each day. We urgently seek your support to evacuate to safety for a couple of months, hoping the situation in Gaza will have improved by then and we can go back and rebuild our home. </strong>
</div>

<div><strong>Here you will find a breakdown of the costs involved:</strong>
</div>
<div>$5,000-$6,000 <strong>per adult for safe departure</strong> (we'll probably have to count 9 adults as Tala'at at 17 would probably be considered an adult for the fees)
</div>
<div>$2,500-$3,000 <strong>per child for safe departure</strong> (4 children)
</div>
<div>$3,000 x2 for <strong>two months rent in Egypt</strong> for our three families
</div>
<div>2.9% deduction for GoFundMe fees, and 0.25 cents per donation accordingly at least $2,160.
</div>
<div><strong>Pay attention to the default settings for this percentage, which is sometimes even preset at 16%, but you can change it! </strong>

<div><strong>How are the expenses received?</strong>
</div>
<div>Manu: The donations will go to a bank account of my sister-in-law Marwa, who also lives in Germany and who will then pass it forward to her mother. The fees for the safe passage of the border have to be paid in cash at an Egyptian Office. She plans to travel there herself or ask another brother to do the payment who has already managed to evacuate with his young children.

<div>Der Albtraum vom 7. Oktober zerstörte die ruhige Existenz, die wir einst kannten. In unserem gemütlichen Zuhause voller Liebe und Lachen genossen mein Mann, meine Kinder und meine Enkel die einfachen Freuden des Lebens.

<div>Doch dieser schicksalhafte Tag raubte uns unseren Frieden und ersetzte ihn durch Angst, Zerstörung und das eindringliche Echo der unerbittlichen Bombenanschläge, die unsere Stadt verwüsteten.

<div>Mit vor Angst schweren Herzen trafen wir die qualvolle Entscheidung, aus unserer geliebten Heimat Gaza-Stadt zu fliehen und im Süden des Gazastreifens Zuflucht zu suchen. Wir sind drei Familien, insgesamt 13 Personen, die zusammen in einer engen Wohnung mitten im Gazastreifen leben. Unter uns sind Yasmeen, ihr Mann und ihre drei Kinder im Alter von 19, 17, 11 Jahren; Ameera, ihr Mann und ihre drei Kinder im Alter von 12, 8 und 1 Jahren; und mein Mann, unsere jüngste Tochter Hend, 32 Jahre alt, und ich.

<div><strong>Jedes Mitglied unserer Familie besitzt einzigartige Träume und Talente, die eine bessere Zukunft verdienen.</strong>

<div><strong>Leider ist unsere aktuelle Realität düster. </strong>Wir stehen vor gesundheitlichen Herausforderungen aufgrund von verunreinigtem Wasser und Nährstoffmangel, verschärft durch einen gravierenden Mangel an Nahrungsmitteln, Medikamenten, sauberem Wasser und Treibstoff. Die ständige Angst vor Luftangriffen verstärkt unsere Verzweiflung, da wir Zeuge des Verlusts von Menschenleben in unserer Nachbarschaft werden und befürchten, dass wir jeden Moment an der Reihe sein könnten.

<div><strong>Die Zeit läuft uns davon. Da in Rafah eine Militäroperation bevorsteht, sinken unsere Überlebenschancen von Tag zu Tag. Wir bitten dringend um Ihre Unterstützung, um für ein paar Monate in Sicherheit zu kommen, in der Hoffnung, dass sich die Situation in Gaza bis dahin verbessert hat und wir zurückkehren und unser Zuhause wieder aufbauen können.</strong>

<div>5.000–6.000 USD pro <strong>Erwachsener</strong> für eine <strong>sichere Abreise </strong>(wir müssen wohl 9 Erwachsene rechnen, da Tala‘at mit 17 für die Gebühren wahrscheinlich als Erwachsener angesehen werden würde)

<div>2.500–3.000 USD pro <strong>Kind für eine sichere Abreise</strong> (4 Kinder)

<div>3.000 USD x2 für <strong>zwei Monatsmieten in Ägypten</strong> für unsere drei Familien

<div>2,9 % Abzug für <strong>GoFundMe-Gebühren</strong>, und je Spende 0,25 Cent entsprechend mindestens 2.160 USD.

<div><strong>Achtet auf die Voreinstellungen dieser Prozentzahl, die ist manchmal sogar bei 16 % voreingestellt, kann man aber ändern!</strong>

<div><strong>Wie kommen die Spenden an?</strong>
</div>
<div>Manu: Die Spenden fließen auf ein Bankkonto meiner Schwägerin Marwa, die ebenfalls in Deutschland lebt, und sie wird sie dann an ihre Mutter weiterleiten. Die Gebühren für den sicheren Grenzübertritt müssen in bar bei einem ägyptischen Büro bezahlt werden. Sie plant, selbst dorthin zu reisen oder einen anderen Bruder zu bitten, die Zahlung zu leisten, der es bereits geschafft hat, mit seinen kleinen Kindern zu evakuieren.
