Helping me see again page

Another update for family, friends, and everyone that has been following and supporting me in my on going battle trying to restore my vision. Most of you know by now, I've been fighting with going blind for the past several years. After 3 cornea transplants, we just can't seem to get over the hump. Many of you got to see me back in June at the benefits concert that some dear dear friends of mine put together. Ive been trying to fly under the radar with my problem as much as I can. I mean, I would not wish what I'm going through on my worst enemy. But, with the pandemic, the social status, people losing their jobs, and most of all so many people dying. Personally, I have found it a bit selfish to keep putting my ordeal out here too often. Anyway, things seemed to be looking up back when we all got together. However, a couple weeks later, around mid July, I guess, things took a pretty bad turn. Something went terribly wrong very quickly. It happened so fast my surgeons were dumbfounded at what was going on after my last cornea transplant. There was no rejection and no infection, but for some reason a lot of inflammation, a thin film or membrane quickly developed over my eye causing me a great deal of discomfort more excruciating constant pain, and to completely lose my sight again. After a few months of trying different regimens of medicines and eye drops, the prognosis was to perform cataract surgery, scrape out some built up scar tissue, and biopsy the membrane, to at least try to figure what went wrong. After my visit to my surgeon in September, we decided to go ahead with the surgery to be scheduled in December. Although the cornea was still in pristine condition, we noticed that there was a very small, but not a significant amount of swelling from the inflammation. We would monitor it, but it didn't seem to be to disconcerting. Finally, in mid October things became very uncomfortable and even painful. The pain would be so bad that I was unable to even work at times. The amount of discomfort I was experiencing concerned my doctor, and insisted that we take a look just to make sure things were okay to still go through with the surgery. Unfortunately, they weren't. In just under two months, my cornea swelled from 6.2 units to 9.1. He uttered, thats unheard-of, and was amazed that I was able to deal with that much discomfort on a daily basis. To make matters worse, the cornea was so severely damaged, it cannot be salvaged. So, were moving forward with surgery, hopefully still on December 11th. However, we'll be performing my fourth cornea transplant, along with removing the membrane and scar tissue. It's been a rough going, but im doing my best to stay positive and know that the good lord is looking out. I know unequivocally, that without him  my extremely patient wife, and every body that has kept us in yalls thoughts, there's no way I could get through all this. So, i thank you!!
