Many of you already know the tragic accident Mr. Richard Erickson continues to struggle with but for those of you who don't this is why this page is being created.

On Sunday February 2, 2014 Rich suffered a terrible fall and needed to be med flighted after first responders were on the scene and realized he was in trouble.  He hit his head and fractured his skull in three places and has been a coma since the tragic fall.  He has been through several surgeries where he had to have a blood clot removed which was successful, and several blood transfusions because of blood loss. He also has neck injuries and has had to have a wick placed into his skull/brain to release the swelling in his head. Four days later and sadly Rich has been non responsive. He just today is now breathing on his own but still in ICU critical condition still in a coma state.  He is at Brigham and Women's Medical Center in Boston Ma.

Rich has a wife Kristine and four boys Shawn, Zach, Tyler and Nathen.  If you know Rich you know how giving of a person he is, if you don't know him just know that he is.  I know many of you have reached out on his Facebook page, emails, phone calls etc. and have expressed the feeling of helplessness because only immediate family is permitted at this time as it should be.  Well this family is in grave need of monetary help as he will not be able to work for some time as the extent of his injury is yet to be determined and prayers and well wishes flood in for him to wake up only to be facing rehabilitation of the unknown. His wife Kristine and her sister Debbie and her partner Renee and her brother Derek and his sisters Paula, Christine, June and his son Shawn have been at the hospital endless hours just hoping for improvement.  His mother June has desperately been trying to get to him but the weather has delayed her arrival much to her heartbreak and worry for her son. This is being told because there is no income at this time coming into the house and they don't know when or if life will return to normal and really need your help in their darkest of days.  Please any donation amount would be so welcomed and greatly appreciated and so needed to help this family to sustain their home bills and hospital bills food etc.  I hope whoever reads this shares it and feels compelled to help.  Thank you so much...
