PLEASE READ BELOW FOR UPDATE 3/08/2019

Hello Everyone,

First, I’d like to thank each and every one of you in advance for taking the time to read, share, and support my family through this difficult time.

As many of you know my mother, Norma, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer, and has undergone multiple sessions of chemotherapy to hopefully kill whatever is left of this life-altering diagnosis. And since her diagnosis, & multiple chemo treatments, which have affected her organs that required hospitalization her Oncologist decided to stop chemo & proceed to  a more aggressive and expensive treatment plan which is needed now — the main procedure being a double mastectomy surgery & dissection of her lymph nodes. Her insurance doesn’t cover all of her medical cost & she would require a payment prior to surgery to also reconstruct.

It was already a lot to handle, seeing my mom struggle to maintain life as My siblings and I know it around the house, considering she’s been left without work since her diagnosis. Some of you may or may not know how difficult that can be going from full time pay, to depending on disability payments. As a single parent, my mom is strong, and has showed the greatest sense of courage and strength I’ve ever witnessed. But the reality is, she can only be strong for us for so long, while also trying to be strong through this process.

With the recent news of her need to have a double mastectomy surgery done at the end of this month, my mom will now be forced to remain off work for a much longer period than originally expected. My sister Diana and I are doing as much as we can to help financially during this time as well, but are now struggling with the decision to continue working full time to offer what little help we can, or work fewer hours while helping our mother get through this most crucial time. It’s really tough.

In an effort to help my mom and the rest of the family (myself, Diana, Jaylynn, and James) endure this stressful time and with the additional expenses this dreaded disease burdens people with, we are setting up this account. If you know my mother, than you know Norma is always the last to ask for help, but definitely the first in line to help anyone else.

Cancer has affected so many young lives and has been beaten over and over again and we are all confident that our girl, my mom, your niece , cousin, Tia, and friend, will be another Champion!!  Thank you in advance again for taking the time to read, share, and support my family through this difficult time.

UPDATE: 03/08/2019
My Breast Cancer has metastasized to my bones, left femur, full cervical neck and spine, also spots in my liver, making it
Stage 4
While on Xeloda 3000mg a day for 14 days on and a 7 day break in between. My oncologist has decided to start me on a more aggressive chemotherapy thru IV again called Halaven, and that I am dying from my illness. He is doing palliative chemo rather than targeted chemo. I refuse to give up and allow this disease to take me from my children. My faith is in God my healer! I’m asking for support so that I may be able to continue to try alternative treatments that aren’t covered by insurance, any amount you can help with would be grately appreciate it, even if it’s $1.00.  Sending you many many hugs ,positive vibes & love your way! Love always Norma ♥️♥️
