Help J.D come home to UK as soon as possible...

Hello, my name is Vivienne Soares Ugenyi

“My story”

I’m reaching out to you because I finally have the chance to have a child of my own, after several years of issues with infertility, medical, heartbreak, disappointments, tears, hope, and faith.

I created a GoFundMe support because I desperately need your help to complete this journey and end the torture of endless waiting by asking you to contribute any amount to bring my baby home to UK.

You are not going to believe the news of how I suddenly received a phone call out of the blue; would I like to adopt a baby boy? I was told he was just put in a box and left at the door of the orphanage, like the story of Moses in the Holy Bible, estimated to be three months old.

He was malnourished, helpless, vulnerable but oh! He was also fighting very hard to live. Of course, I said yes!!! And I believe that this is a blessing to end my many tears; this gift of a beautiful baby boy, so cute,  to call my own, to love, and to care for - I have named him J.D for the sake of anonymity.

I have recently completed J.D’s adoption and I paid all the probation, legal and court fees required for him to become proudly mine in Nigeria.

I currently pay for J.D’s care on a monthly basis in the orphanage and also support the nanny looking after him.

He is now become such a healthy and lively child, but he is missing a mother’s love; the love I so very much have to give him and I desire he grows up with me day by day.

We however look forward to receive his lovely pictures sent to us bi-weekly and via video calls and these give me immense joy to see him developing well and of course, I have sadness at times that he is not here with me yet and having faith he is yet to come.

Therefore, my greatest heart desire right now is to bring him home, over to the UK to live with us as soon as possible by God’s grace and with your help

“The Costs”

This is a huge financial challenge I am now facing for the current 2014, UK requirement to bring home an internationally adopted child from abroad, of which I was not even aware of, at first, that the costs for the adoption would be so high even for a British-Born-citizen like me.

I am expected to pay for my Inter-Country agency Assessments and UK International Adoption fees (£12,000- £14,000.), a mandatory initial adoptive parental course (£550) each for both of us, DFES fees for Eligibility to adopt certificate (£1,950) and Entry clearance visa fees (£1,500) and our flight tickets (£1,800) costing an unbelievable total amount of about £22,500 within 6months - 1year of making all the very necessary applications.

For so many years I have dreamt, yearned, prayed and longed for the fulfilment of motherhood and the joy of loving and bringing up a child in my home.  This is our chance, please help J.D, my husband and I to live happily together as a family.  Please feel for us and help make our dreams come true.

I do not want such a deserving child to be denied and delayed from having a loving home and family due to such huge financial challenges.

I understand people might feel  ' he is no more deserving than the other children in orphanages, so they might be unwilling to help."  or "Why pay so much for just one child? ' or "Must You ask for people sympathy to help you?.

In all honesty, I understand , But I want to tug at your heart strings so that  together we can achieve all that is humanly possible to help my son come home  soon .

“How you can help?”

I have spent over £5,000 to date to cover the cost of adoption fees in Nigeria as well many needed flight tickets for the many important and necessary trips between UK and Nigeria.

I have been spending money on refurbishing our home to make it ‘child friendly ‘and safe in order to pass the assessment even within a tight budget.

I have been working tirelessly and saving immensely towards this goal and so far I have saved £3,000 of my own money and my husband has saved almost the same amount as well, but this is inadequate as JD is really growing up fast as well with the new changes in government regulations for international adoption applications.

I therefore desperately need your support to help us to accumulate the rest of the amount of money needed to bring home J.D my own bundle of joy, thus making me a joyful mother too!

Please, I once again appeal to you to support my GoFundMe by donating and also sharing it with your network, because I know that every little bit will help bring to life my dream of having my son J.D. live with me  become a reality and to end the endless waiting torture .

Please, get in touch with me, however, if you need further information before committing your money, and I will gladly answer any and every question that you might have regarding my appeal.

I pray to receive an indescribable and amazing support from you all - my family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, brethren and co-charity supporters.

J.D, I, my husband and our family generations would be forever grateful.

I pledge that any excess funds received by me would go to support the immense needs of other orphans in the orphanage J.D was brought to me from.

Thank you so much and I wish all of God’s blessings to you.
