Help me ride again

For 18 years, I have been riding my bicycle in charity events, raising lots of money (tens of thousands of dollars) for the National MS Society, the American Cancer Society,  Urban Promise, the ALS Foundation as well as other smaller local charities. I even became an instructor with the League of American Bicyclists, helping others to ride their bikes with an emphasis on skill-learning and safety. My bicycle had become a large part of who I am as a person.

Unfortunately, this all changed in November of 2016 when I was diagnosed with advanced and aggressive colorectal cancer and I was treated with intense chemotherapy and radiation treatments. My radiation treatments caused extensive damage to my body (radiation proctitis) and I am no longer able to sit on any bicycle seat. I am currently out of work on SSD because my immune system is suppressed by the chemotherapy treatment, which hit my bone marrow hard.

I know I can get stronger if I can get more exercise and get back on a bike, but I cannot ride a traditional triangle-frame bicycle. The recumbent trikes, like the one pictured below, have seats that will allow me to ride once again. The exercise from the cycling will make me stronger and improve my health and allow me to eventually go back to work. Plus, I'll once again be able to raise money for some important causes. 

Unfortunately, the trikes are much more expensive than I had imagined. The trike I want to purchase will cost $3300 dollars. I have been able to get some funds together but need to raise some additional money to make the purchase.

Please help me transition to a recumbent trike. I want to ride and raise money for important health-related causes again, but I cannot afford to buy a recumbent trike without some support.
