<div>Since the original fund-raiser, we have finally reached an important milestone. After years of fighting for answers and support, the tribunal has confirmed the Chris qualifies for NDIS disability support.
</div>

<div>While that decision is a huge relief  the years of waiting for help has dwindled our savings and the house deposit we had built for our family. During this time we have been surviving on what income Nikki could earn on days Chris is well enough to be left alone, and government support pensions. While managing Chris's medical costs, prescriptions and specialised nutrition just to keep him alive.

<div>We have managed to secure conditional approval for home finance. However we keep getting out bid on auctions and overlooked for higher offers. We are trying to raise the remaining funds to secure a modest home for our family in the $400-412k range in Grafton, so our children can finally have stability while we wait for Chris's support plan to begin.

<div>I can’t even begin to describe how much this means to me — my new electric wheelchair has arrived, and it’s completely changed my life. For the first time in such a long time, I’ve been able to get out of the house, feel the fresh air, and move around with real freedom again.

<div>It’s given me back a sense of independence I honestly thought I’d lost forever. The difference it’s made — not just physically, but emotionally too — is incredible.

<div>Nikki is still working as much as she can, but this truly isn’t much as I actually require a lot of help and care right now. Believe me, I wish I didn’t. But I’m humbly asking that we raise the goal to 18k and let her have a break from all this pressure.
