Help Will Garcia Beat Cancer!!!!!!

Donation protected
Our beloved nurse, firefighter, father, and friend, William Garcia (34), has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma.

In August 2020, a sunspot on William’s back developed into Melanoma, which traveled to his lymph nodes underneath his left arm in November. Doctors removed the lymph nodes in late December 2020, and soon after, a PET Scan showed no signs of cancer anywhere in his body.  We all thought he was clear of cancer. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

In mid-February 2021, William experienced a loss of appetite and fatigue and feared that the tumor had returned. After going through a biopsy and a CT scan, William was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma. Unfortunately, he is now showing evidence of cancer on his spleen, liver, and lungs, and the tumor now runs from under his left arm to his clavicle. With these recent developments happening over only a matter a weeks, it is evident that this aggressive cancer is rapidly traveling through Will’s body. We are hoping that by sharing William’s story, we can help him find the most advanced care to save his life and allow him to spend more time with his family.

As so many cancer patients and families are aware, the treatment that William is going through has caused immense physical, emotional, and financial strains on William and his family.  Our hope is that this community outreach will help raise awareness, necessary funds, and provide hope to William and his family as they battle for William’s life. If this news reaches anyone in the life sciences community who can offer advice on clinical trials or experimental treatments, please contact the family at: [phone redacted]
