My son, Timothy, recently graduated from college with a 3.87. His plan was to sit out one semester and then get his master's. Instead he got sick.
He became fatigued to the point he could not walk without help. He was nauseous, dizzy, and had severe muscle and joint pain. He was prescribed Reglan for nausea and had an adverse reaction. He now has Acute Dystonia which causes spasms and rigidity in his throat and jaw muscles.
About a month ago, while he was hospitalized for ten days, I was laid-off from my job. Timothy was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. He is on several medications that are difficult to pay for. We didn't expect any of this.
Presently I'm attempting to find another job and take care of Timothy. I've applied for assistance as well as temporary disability for Timothy. Getting that assistance takes time and no aid is immediate. We need help now.
A friend of mine recommended I reach out for help, so I'm here. Your donations will help pay for medical co-pays and medications which are not covered at all. Your generosity will also help with buying medical equipment and aids (blood pressure monitor, blood glucose measuring supplies, pulse-ox meter, bathtub chair, etc.) Finally your generosity will help me work within the confines of Timothy's diet and take care of other issues that arise due to his illness.
