Help TJF fight poverty with ethical Fashion

Help me help others! Fight poverty and restore dignity through ethical Fashion!

I am so honored to be chosen to be the designer for the 2019 Runway to Haiti Charity event.

Tammy Jo Fashion is partnering up with REBUILD Globally and Deux Mains for their 2019 Runway to Haiti Charity Event in Orlando, FL on February 22nd. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/runway-to-haiti-2019-a-night-of-impact-ethical-fashion-tickets-42048948537

Two ethical fashion companies are coming together to present a beautiful fashion show, challenge our ideals of fashion, and support a movement that is changing the world.

In order to make this partnership all it’s meant to be, Tammy Jo herself will be going to Haiti in January to meet the makers and celebrate in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly opened Deux Mains factory https://deuxmains.com . The factory will employ over 80 local people and secure them with a living wage, purpose, and dignity in a country that has been impacted negatively by a system of international aid that holds them hostage, perpetuates generational poverty, and continues to stymie Haiti’s economic development.

Tammy Jo Fashion will then create a collection of 10-12 looks to walk the runway that reflect the love, culture, and humanity that’s being reborn and nurtured there.

Funds needed by January 10th include:
$2000 ~ Trip to Haiti to meet and immerse myself with the culture and people we are trying to raise up.

Funds needed by Feb 22.
$2000 ~ Materials/labor to create the Runway to Haiti TJF collection.

What this support means to me:

I've always had a heart for Haiti and have always wanted to have a hand in helping these beautiful people reverse the damage that’s been done. Haiti is known as a dumping ground for unwanted materials; the materials I love to use in my designs. While the intent was to aid Haitians, the over-abundance of these materials now stunts their economic growth, culture, style, and craftsmanship. I have been using sustainable materials in my designs since day one. To hear the materials I use to define my brand are drowning an entire culture doesn’t sit well with me; I must act when prompted. This partnership with REBUILD Globally is near and dear to my heart and the mission of Tammy Jo Fashion. Please help me get to Haiti and get these dresses to you, while also redefining the fashion industry.

Jewelry shown is from the Noonday Collection, another ethical / fair trade company impacting lives for the better of our world. Think of where and who made your clothes and accessories. When expressing your style you also express what you value. Please support ethical fashion any chance you can.
