Rebuilding a community school with community love.

... to Moksha Yogis and yogis everywhere!

On Sept. 25th a fire at Piracanga village took the entire school for the children and the house where they store all the materials they\'ve collected for the orphanage - mattresses, books, chairs, as well as the entire building, its beautiful contents and everything around it.  It is devastating but they contained the fire that could have taken the whole village.  Although very sad to have lost so much - this community asked only for all of us to send them love and light and meditation.  We would like to send that, AND MORE...

We think in a short time with the power of this community we can raise $10,000 or more!  If every studio owner donates $150-200 and every teacher donates $20 we\'ll be there in no time!! 

If you are able to give more, bring it on. Let\'s DO THIS yogis!!

When the Moksha Yoga Teacher Training Brazil Sangha first arrived at Piracanga one of the founders Angelina, after having a friend cover logistics, said to us simply in clear but somewhat broken English: Welcome to Piracanga, here we are together hoping to change the world.  Many of us were moved to tears (and this wouldn\'t be the first time!) by Angelina\'s words because their sentiment is reflected everywhere.  Anyone living at Piracanga has chosen a new way of life - a life without unlimited power, as all power is shared, a life where community interests always comes before self interest, a life where the earth is always considered in decision making (which can lead to dramatic decisions like...I\'m only going to wash my hair with a biodegradable soap bar,  trust us Brazil sangha, this is serious sacrifice!!).  And more than anything Piracanga is a world where children come first.  

The free school was not only a beautiful building. It was long time dream that had only recently come to fruition.   Let\'s surprise this community with our ability to live our Outreach pillar.
