Help Anneke and Peter

Dear Friends and Supporters of Anneke and Peter.

Most of you are aware of the ugly fraud case they are embedded in due to the malicious and vicious attacks brought on by a (self- described) Famous American Author, whom will remain unnamed. Peter and Anneke were friends with her husband and own a small working tourism company in a very special part of southern France. This company is chartered to execute group tours (organizing accommodation, transportation, meals and excursions). Everything Peter and Anneke have done for this company and said author, were from their hearts and at the sacrifice of their own income. For three years, they led tours for this Author and knew the profits she made from people who wanted to tour this magical region in Southern France.

In December of 2012, tragedy struck and Anneke and Peter lost a beloved friend, who was the husband of this author. While he was in the hospital, they did not want to bother him or his wife with an outstanding bill; although he had already been paying parts of this bill before he was hospitalized. After he died, his wife first agreed to settle the debt in August 2013, after she would receive his inheritance. So they waited…

Anneke and Peter have paid all of the tour groups bills, the hotels, bus company, restaurants etc. which amounted to nearly 22,000 euros from this trip. However, in August 2013, when they again approached the Author about it, she became angry and refused to pay. The money owed was money which the company had already spent on invoices of hotels, buses and meals for this client's tours. It is money that this small company simply cannot miss, and caused Peter and Anneke to get into serious financial trouble which will eventually lead them to sell their house.

Needless to say this situation has severely impacted their livelihood. Being that the company is in France, and the Author is in the United States, complicates the procedure, making it nearly impossible for them to sue this Author for payment. But this Author doesn't stop there. Taking advantage of the little fame she has and in an attempt to 'justify' her fraud, she has repeatedly slandered their names on Facebook and social media sites, uttering unbelievable lies and accusations on a public page and in a blog, in an attempt to ruin their good names and the good name of their company. Having said so many things on Facebook, she was finally forced to sue the company for 'creating a fake bill'. So although this Author cannot possibly win this case, as the evidence against her is overwhelming, she nevertheless now forces the tour company to defend themselves in France against a cunning French lawyer, who takes advantage of the complicated law system.

In addition to this, this Author received payments from her late husband’s estate and moved into a $1.6 million dollar home in Los Angeles in August 2013, after telling everyone she could not afford to pay her debt of almost 22,000 euros to this small business. Unable to afford a lawyer to defend themselves, the company desperately needs crowd-funding to enable them to hire a lawyer and help them win this case. The court case will be held on November 3rd, 2014. Estimated costs for a lawyer in this case are 5000 euros.

For everyone who donates 100 euros/dollars or more, Anneke will send a signed copy of the very first edition of her new book, which she wrote herself and did not plagiarize. Also, Anneke and Peter will refund all donated money upon winning judgement if they succeed to retrieve their money she owes them. This is not a case of a small business trying to ruin the name of this Author, this is exactly the other way around. It is about justice and them getting reimbursed for 5 trips that this Author has profited from, and allowing Peter and Anneke to resume their lives. This Author has clearly spent more time and money in a now personal fight to avoid paying her bills, then if she had been honest and had the integrity to do the right thing. Please support Peter and Anneke in this, together they need help standing up to someone with money, who does not want to do what is morally right.

P.S. We had to raise the goal to 5,500.00 euros because of the percentage that the gofundme and paypal takes.  Thank you for understanding, as Anneke and Peter need all of the 5,000 euros to pay their attorney.


UPDATE: (December 16, 2014)

Message from Anneke and Peter:

Many thanks for all of your support!  For different reasons, this court case has been postponed one time after another, due to cirmstances outside of our control.  The latest time (yesterday) has been due to a strike here in France.  Our lawyer will keep us informed as we do not know the new date yet.  Hopefully, sometime in January 2015. 

Anneke's new book is set to be published in January and a copy will be reserved for those who have contributed to the fund.  We will keep you all posted.
