Going back to NYC! Will you help me

Hello!

Welcome to my fundraising page. I was blessed to receive so much support last summer and my Mom has had many people ask how they continue to help me. So thanks so much and this is a convenient way to donate. (My goal is $3500. Not $8000. But I don't know how to reset it from last summer. Sorry)

My mom said we shouldn't do a GoFund Me this year because unlike last year, we had time to plan early. She feels like everyone is doing them and it annoys people. But her show wrapped early and that cut into my dance funds. And what's great about crowd funding is you can contribute to causes YOU support and believe in or not. It's up to you. It shouldn't annoy people because you don't have to donate or read about someone's goal, right?

Being a dancer is my not only my dream, but my goal! I work hard at it every single day. A few things have changed since last summer too...

I am teenager now and have a Facebook Fanpage and an Instagram (@najaahmalonnedancer)

I have really focused on improving my technique at a new studio and won more scholarships this year than EVER before! So the hard work is paying off.

I won a scholarship to ASH in Miami. I won a scholarship to Joffrey and won a scholarship to The Dance Awards in New York. I did not receive scholarships to Debbie Allen's 2 week intensive in Atlanta nor to Alvin Ailey in New York though. Ironically those are the ones I want to attend.

I do hope to return to Ailey for the technique training and take advantage of the opportunity to attend workshops for free with my scholarship to the Dance Awards this summer and maybe compete to be Best Dancer of the Year! I would just LOVE to attend the Debbie Allen Intensive in ATL before I go to New York since she will be here personally to teach!!!

The expenses for my dancing actually increase as I get older and the level of training increases. So, I couldn't resist at least trying to help my family as they continue to help me.
