Help Mike & Harper - Cottage Lost in Palisades Fire

Please help Michael and Harper Petty whose 500 sq ft Malibu cottage was burned completely in the Palisades Fire.

These two represent the soul of Malibu. They’ve lived in this cottage for 35 years. The two of them live simply, with no television and barely even a lightbulb.

Michael and Harper are madly in love and have been together for 37 years. Their love radiates around them and expands to their family, friends, and Malibu community.

They are true people, kind people, selfless people. Rare people. If you meet them, they will make you laugh, they’ll always answer your call (Michael has no cell phone so you’d have to call Harper ) and be there for you in any time of need - whether you’re family, or a complete stranger.

They enjoy life in a way no one does anymore, they are sunshine, and are true originals.

All they need is their home, the ocean, and each other, and beautifully, they never wanted anything but that. Now that it’s been burned, please help us help them during this time.

There aren’t many people like them and helping them get back home will help Malibu get part of its soul back.
