Help Marcus Jones (Medical Expenses)

On January 12, 2022, Marcus Jones (age 25) was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Astrocytoma. This GoFundMe is needed to help pay for medical bills and to help with other expenses needed for his treatment and recovery.
Marcus is a 25 year old, high energy, outgoing young professional who enjoys working out, traveling, hanging out with friends, and living life to the fullest. He also enjoys spending time with his parents (Tomas and Alishia), his older brother, his two younger sisters, and his 3-year old nephew.
Marcus graduated from Chandler High in 2014, obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Arizona State University in 2018, and is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After graduation, Marcus worked on some personal start-up projects, and is currently a Product Manager for Trainual.
It all happened so very unexpectedly and suddenly. Marcus was eating healthy, and training for the Half Iron Man, which he successfully completed on December 5, 2021. Shortly after competing the Half Iron Man, he started to experience intense migraines. The migraine headaches continued for weeks, and Marcus spent his Christmas holiday in bed resting. The Monday after Christmas, Marcus started to feel slight numbness in his left leg, so he went to a local Emergency Room where they performed an MRI and CT scan. The CT scan showed a large mass on his right frontal lobe that needed to be removed.
His parents immediately started doing research and found the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's hospital, where Marcus was transferred to on December 27, 2021. A team of doctors rallied together to develop a surgical plan, and Marcus was discharged home with a surgery date of January 7, 2022.
On January 7, 2022, Marcus underwent a Brain Surgery to remove the mass in his right frontal lobe. The surgery took just over 6 hours. After surgery, Marcus was breathing on his own, talking, and following commands. The afternoon of January 8, 2022, Marcus began communicating less, and we knew something wasn't right. Marcus had developed a blood clot, and a second surgery was performed to remove the clot that same evening.
On January 12, 2022, Marcus was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Astrocytoma. Marcus has been transferred to a rehabilitation facility where he is receiving Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy daily. After discharge, Marcus will begin a treatment plan that includes both radiation treatment and chemotherapy for 6 weeks, and then additional chemotherapy for an additional 6-12 months.
