M Wright and her Grandma Robin Need Each Other

I have been in my granddaughters life since the day she was born.  Her mom went to prison in the summer of 2015. I  moved in with my son to take care of the house and Makenna.

While Makenna was in my care, she went to her first eye appointment where she was prescribed glasses. I also took her to her first dentist appointment and  took her to school every day, on time. Records show she missed an abundance of school or was late while in her mother's care.

My son was murdered in the fall of 2016.  Two days later, I was informed Makenna would be taken out of my care and raised by someone else (not even a relative).  Her mother had never met the woman either. 

I fought for guardianship and won but my daughter-in-laws family would not accept this.  They broke into the house while we were out of town for my son's memorial, made false reports to DHS and the police, and kicked Makenna and I out of the house.  They also found a second judge and drug me through two more court cases.  At lease two of the witnesses lied on the stand but nothing was done about it and Makenna was taken from me.    

Makenna's mother got out of prison and now has custody.  She ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to work out fair visitation for Makenna and I.  She hardly has any relatives. Makenna's dad's side of the family has lots and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. She has tons of love and support from her dad's family, but she can't experience it.  THIS HAS TO STOP...

There is a law in Iowa that gives visitation rights to grandparents of a child whose parent has died.  The only way I will get this right is if I hire a lawyer.  I have to give him $1500.00 down.  I feel it may cost more since Jena will do anything to fight it. I live on disability which makes it very difficult to come up with that kind of money.

I feel Jena has some SERIOUS mental issues.  I also feel she is hurting her own daughters mental status by denying her time with her ONLY grandparent. I don't have a clue why she is acting the way she is, but she is purposely hurting Makenna and it's not right...

Losing my son was one of the worst things I've ever gone through.  Being kept from his only child is the other.
