Roberto's Recovery

Roberto, my other half. I got him through Toronto Cat Rescue a few years ago. He has been given up several times by past owners, was older and overweight but I still chose to adopt him. Over the last few years, he has become my other half. Many of you ask how we're both doing. 

Last month for unrelated reasons to this, I had to take him to the vet which costed me $450. Unfortunately two days ago he completely switched gears. Being so close to him and working from home, I can easily tell something was up. 

I took him to an animal hospital on Dec. 7 in the evening with inconsistencies with I was told on the phone versus with paper. He was sent home with diagnosis being an UTI but no kidney stone and was prescribed medication. 

On Dec 8. upon recommendations from two veterinarians, I took him to another animal hospital. More testing and x-rays this time were done.  Results showed stones and a problem with his kidneys and bladder. Two emergency visits which have involved testing, x-rays, injections and now four different medications have put a dent on me financially. More importantly, I can't even imagine the pain he is in but for now, I want to give Roberto a chance and hope things clear up.

Rarely I have been the one to ask for help like this but this has been my fees in the last 24 hours only. I am hoping he's going to be okay but already I'm needing to figure out follow up appointments. I don't know if things will get better or worse, but we need to stay optimistic. Any contribution will sincerely be appreciated.
