SULAWESI EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI
Press play:

I am sure that you have all heard about the huge 7.5 earthquake and Tsunami that hit Palu, Sulawesi at 18:03 (10:03 GMT) on Friday. So far more than 1,200 bodies have been found and this number is set to rise a lot higher.

I have been trying to decide if and how I could help with the victims of this disaster. I've personally never been to Sulawesi and therefore, I wasn't sure whether i'd be able to ensure that donations would get exactly to where they needed to go however, when I heard that people can still be heard screaming for help under collapsed buildings, I decided it was time to get my arse in gear and do something. I now know 2 people that are traveling to Sulawesi to help survivors, search for more survivors and deliver aid and supplies. They need money and they need it urgently!!

SOO many of my friends said that they will donate after the Lombok earthquakes and never got round to it. I understand that we all need money to exist but for real, £1, £5, £10....what do you spend that on in a week that you don't really need? That money could seriously help save people in Indonesia right now. Please, please donate.

All the money that I raise from now on out will be sent to The Endri Foundation. Endri is the Founder of Lombok's Forgotten Children Charity in Lombok and has tirelessly been doing everything he can to help the sick and terminally ill people in Lombok for years. He lost his own home during the Lombok Earthquakes but has not stopped working to raise money and directly help the survivors since it happened. Today Endri got on a plane to go and help those affected in Palu, Sulawesi. Endri gets shit done! He is amazing and I can 100% guarantee that the money sent to him will go to EXACTLY where it needs to!! Enough chat, you know what to do.

LOMBOK EARTHQUAKE

Lombok and the Gilis have been hit by 3 major Earthquakes in just 1 week. There have been over 300 tremors in between and currently there are more than 300 dead and thousands more injured. Those that have survived are now displaced and living in temporary shelters on high ground. These people have no access to water, food or medical supplies and are quite literally sat injured, heartbroken and waiting for help. YOU can help!

As many of you know, I have recently moved home from living in Gili Air for 3 years. I have many contacts on the ground providing aid to the victims first hand. I can show you where your money is going and how it is helping.

These people are my brothers and sisters, my friends and my family and right now they are suffering. If you have visited Indonesia, you know their kindness. Please donate.

A good friend of mine Sarah has written the following and I can't really word it any better myself:

"It costs £4 to buy a 4metre by 3metre (12foot by 9ft) sheet of tarpaulin. This tarpaulin will serve as shelter in Lombok for families who have been left homeless. Rainy season is fast approaching, in fact it’s already been raining in Bali, don’t know about Lombok I’ll be honest, but inevitably it will arrive.

I know money is tight for everyone but to put things into perspective, £4 is the average cost of 1 pint of beer, 1 gin and tonic, or a cheap bottle of wine. £4 is half the price of a cinema ticket in Gloucester, in other words I’m sure it’s something you could give up for a day.

So, if everyone donates even £1, or 4, we can all make a huge difference.

I know it’s far away and not all of you have the emotional connection, but please, walk outside your house, turn around and imagine that in one minute it’s all going to fall to the ground, and not only is it your home but your livelihood. That’s exactly what’s happened to so many just a 90 minute boat ride away from me."

Below: My ex boyfriends family now living under a tarp as their homes have been completely destroyed. These people could not do enough for me when I went to stay with them, even though we couldn't communicate fluently with one another they were always welcoming, loving and respectful. This photo breaks my heart.

Hospitals moved patients out to the streets for safety as buildings were collapsing and getting more and more damaged with every earthquake and aftershock.

Below: Where your money is going - I have sent some of your donations to the team below. These guys have been tirelessly spending their days raising funds, buying necessities and delivering them to people in need. They've been putting in the extra effort to go to the villages much harder to reach too. A good friend of mine is part of this team, I worked with him for over a year and I've watched his instagram stories everyday. They have seriously not stopped!
