Pr. Yan Aye's Medical/ Funeral Funds

July 17, 2014

I arrived the night before the funeral service of my father. It's hard for me to see him that way. The last time I saw him was 2011 before I came to US for my studies. I was able to talk to him a month before he passed away, never thought that this will happen suddenly but I'm glad that he passed away peacefully. I'm glad to see my mom and to be with her during this difficult time.

I just want to thank all who donated money for my father's medical/funeral expenses. I was notified that the estimated total cost expenses we would need would be about $10,000 recently. The cost may have gone down more now since a lot of people in and out of the country has helped us immensely and we can't praise God enough for this! Still, with God's help, I am praying and continuing this campaign for the expenses we have yet to pay which my brother is arranging and for my bereaved family- especially my mom, to help them in their needs as well.

I'm grateful to all my family and friends here in US, Thailand and for all the people around the world who may or may not have known my Dad but extended your support and prayers. Please keep praying for my family esp. in Myanmar.

May God bless us all!

Sincerely,
Kyaw Than Aye

My dad had a stroke recently and underwent surgery due to cerebral hemorrhage. We are raising funds to help pay for the major surgery and medical bills incurred. It is a very big amount and I'm astounded, but there is nothing impossible with the Lord. I grew up knowing that my dad never asked anything for himself but always in behalf of the people in need around him. This time, I want to help him in his situation and I humbly ask that you consider to be a part of that too by donating any monetary gift you could extend to him. I appreciate any amount you could gladly contribute. Thank you very much for your support and the prayers you have uttered in his behalf and our family. May God bless you for your kindness and help in our time of great need.

Many thanks,
Kyaw Than

To our dear family and friends, thank you for the prayers you've rendered to God for our family. We appreciate it very much. As some of you may know, my husband, Kyaw came from Myanmar and he is on his last year as a student taking Masters in Music Education at Andrews University. We came here by faith and live our lives trusting God for our daily needs.

Yesterday, we received a call from his family back home that his dad is in a very critical condition. Successful operation was done but sadly, his condition is not improving. My husband, Kyaw is going home to see his dad and be with his family. We believe that his presence could support his 2 younger siblings and most especially his mom who also has Parkinson's Disease and heart problems as well. Although, we wanted to go together, the financial burden is heavy already. The Myanmar Adventist Union Mission is kind enough to pay for his airfare. We praise the Lord for this wonderful blessing.

My father in-law's name is Yan Aye. People call him Pastor Yan Aye. He is a retired principal of Myanmar Adventist Seminary for more than 20 years. He was also a former Education Director of the Myanmar Union Mission. Kyaw told me he could have gone to a greener pasture and earn good money and better life, but he chose to stay in his country and serve his own people. As you know, Myanmar has just recently been opening up its country because it has been ruled by military for many years and poverty has affected its people everywhere. But still, he worked a lot and busied himself helping in agricultural farming and building churches and schools around the country. When a lot of these building structures were damage by the biggest typhoon that occured few years back, he's there to lead out and repair again. Also, he helped get the funds for countless children to be sent to school. Although, he was retired already- he still continues to go to places, volunteers and extends his helping hands to the people in need. He is a good father and I couldn't forget, that he always prays for us and encourages us the best that he can. He loves God and his fellowmen that's why although Kyaw and I, are not used to asking donations- I believe that we are doing this for a great cause, for a wonderful man of God.

Thank you for your support, whether through prayers or monetary donations. It is our privilege to be helped by you. Whatever happens, we praise God for His faithful servant and for the people like you, whose willing to help us in our need. Thank you again and God bless you.

Sincerely,
Karen Aye
