Help Josie Heal

Donation protected
If anyone knows Josie, personally or through others, you'd know that she is a selfless as they come. She is always the first to ask what she can do to help and spring into action.

Last week, she had a medical emergency. She had 2 surgeries which were unplanned. The 2nd surgery was trying to stop internal bleeding. She had 2 blood transfusions with multiple units of blood during that hospital stay. Scary times for sure. We thought things might be looking up, but 2 days later she ended up back in the hospital where she has been since. She was still bleeding internally, requiring more blood transfusions and more surgery. She is currently inpatient for the time being with no estimated date to be discharged. Several things need to happen before then.

Today she underwent a procedure to get a better game plan. Her surgeon was able to fix one of the areas, but there is a much bigger issue going on. Now that we know, we take it minute by minute and do what we can to alleviate some stress for Josie and her family. Her drs will regroup tonight with another surgeon and decide what her best course of action is. One option is keeping her inpatient for a month while her body is healing and strong enough to endure a bigger and more invasive surgery. As of now, she has a tube going down into her stomach that is keeping everything from leaking into her abdomen. She has damage done to her internal organs from her initial emergency surgery. She is far sicker than her pride wants her to acknowledge.

She found out today that her insurance won't cover a lot of what is going on.  She is not able to work right now and we aren't sure when she will be able to return. Her work family has been absolutely incredible and have offered to work with her and alleviate all the stress that they can so she can concentrate on healing.

Clay is being dad and Mr. Mom, getting the kids back and forth from school and trying to work.
Holly has the baby so that he is able to work.

Josie's family relies greatly in her income and right now, they are worried of what's to come. Josie and Clay are prideful people and asking for help is the last thing they would willingly do.

Prayers are greatly needed. Faith is holding this family together at the moment. They are eternally grateful for all of the love, well wishes and support.

Thank you for everything ❤
