Help Jake Run and Laugh Again

I am uncomfortable asking for help, but we are humbled and feel vulnerable. A friend of ours suggested we reach out and she found this site for us.
Our family needs to raise money to help our son Jake who is 16. He has had severe costochondritis for almost a year now and has debilitating pain at times. Costochondritis can normally heal in a few months, but his condition has worsened over time and is now considered severe and chronic. There is also significant chest wall neuropathy. The medications prescribed have not helped and just leave him dazed, depressed and out of touch. With a bad bout of bronchitis last January, He had the perfect storm of conditions that led up to this condition including growing too rapidly over a short period of time. He has gotten worse as the year has gone on and cannot enjoy life or go to school. His rib pain is so severe, even breathing and using his core to pull up out of bed is extremely painful. He needs help with almost everything. We have seen many doctors, spent many hours in the emergency rooms and a week long stay at childrens hospital. It is frustrating seeing our child go from being a strong, vibrant soccer player, straight A student, to needing help to get into his wheel chair. One of us needs to be available to him at all times. We want so much to give him every advantage available, we feel time is ticking in his teenage years and everyone that sees him and his condition feels broken hearted. Helping him heal with the right tools will hopefully facilitate him and set up for success to break out of this pit. It is like being on bed rest for almost a year. The limited insurance we have will not cover these types of treatments for Jake and the standard treatments aren't working.

Here is how the money would be used. We learned of a doctor who is western medicine trained and also practices holistic methods. He specializes in inflammation/cartilage etc issues, is located in Santa Barbara and costs about $500 for the initial visits with a plan for healing.
Acupuncture is $75 a visit and he needs about 3 times a week.
Oxygen/ozone therapy is highly recommended which costs about $100 per visit.
A home jacuzzi (like a portable spa) to help him be weight less and be able to do exercises is approximately $[phone redacted].00.
At home physical therapy would be around $75 a visit, ideally would be 2 times a week.
A tutor is about $75 a week.
Chiropractic care with follow up.
He may need surgery to remove some of the torn cartilage, but we will cross that bridge if we come to it.

Many of these therapies have given Jake a few visits that we paid for already and noticed some relief, so we feel that these will really aid Jake in healing and getting his life back.
We are incredibly grateful to those that have already stepped in to help in so many ways, we hate to ask this of any of our friends and family but it is getting out of control and basically living off of 1 1/2 incomes for a family of 6 has had its toll.
Thank you so much and we can't wait to be in a position to pay it forward! If you have any further questions about his condition or more information about Costochondritis and it's different forms, please feel free to message me, we have done a lot of research.
